In January-May 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 501,400 t of cargo (+10%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo surged by 22% to 447,000 t including 125,100 t of coal and coke (+11%) and 212,100 t of mineral fertilizers (-3%) with other dry bulk cargo showing an increase (up 3.2 times).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo dropped by 85% to 5,000 t.
Transshipment of general cargo fell by 7% to 33,300 t with metal scrap falling by 20% to 5,100 t, packaged cargo growing by 13% to 27,900 t and other general cargo showing an increase.
In 2016, the port of Vyborg handled 1.38 mln t of cargo (-11%, year-on-year).
