Port Equipment LLC is the owner of infrastructure facilities at the port of Vyborg (Leningrad Region) and a holder of five berths and a plot of land. Port Equipment LLC is subject to insolvency proceeding launched by Arbitrage Court of Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad Region on 21 February 2017. As IAA PortNews was told by Artem Sobolev, insolvency administrator appointed by the Court, he and his representatives are shut off the assets of the company.
According to Artem Sobolev, admission to the port is currently performed by Port Logistic LLC under the sublease agreement signed by Port Equipment LLC and Port Logistic LLC on 21.02.2013.
The mentioned agreement has been terminated by insolvency administrator.
“Therefore, Port Logistic LLC has no legal authority for performing admission to the territory of the port of Vyborg or to perform any other activities in the port”, said Artem Sobolev.
Being not able to resume its financial and economic activities Port Equipment LLC incurs significant losses.
According to insolvency administrator, in May 2017 he addressed Russia’s Ministry of Transport with a request to assign functions of admission to the port to Port Equipment LLC, the owner of the port’s infrastructure, and to exclude Port Logistic LLC from the list of entities responsible for admission since it has not authority for this activities.
