Coordinating board of sea check point at the port of Vyborg held a meeting on 29 June 2017 to consider introduction of amendments into the procedure of admission to Vyborg check point in connection with the appeal of Port Equipment LLC, owner of the port property. As IAA PortNews was told by insolvency administrator Artem Sobolev, who took part in the meeting, the final decision on the issue will be made at the next meeting of the coordinating board scheduled for in the first half of June.
According to provided documents, Port Equipment LLC is the owner of infrastructure facilities at the port of Vyborg (Leningrad Region) and a holder of five berths and a plot of land.
Port Equipment LLC is subject to insolvency proceeding launched by Arbitrage Court of Saint-Petersburg and the Leningrad Region on 21 February 2017.
According to earlier reports, insolvency administrator and representatives of Port Equipment LLC are shut off from the company assets since admission to the port is currently performed by Port Logistic LLC under the sublease agreement signed by Port Equipment LLC and Port Logistic LLC on 21.02.2013. The mentioned agreement has been terminated by insolvency administrator, so Port Logistic LLC has no authority for these activities.
Press center of Port Logistic LLC has recently provided its comment: “company management and employees think that insolvency administrator has overstepped its authority (when terminating the sublease agreement – Ed.), its activities are beyond the legal framework in many aspects, which is done deliberately”.
