In January-June 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 608,000 t of cargo (+3%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 10% to 540,500 t including 187,200 t of coal and coke (+1%) and 233,800 t of mineral fertilizers (-14%) with other dry bulk cargo showing an increase (up 3.5 times).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo dropped by 73% to 9,000 t.
Transshipment of general cargo climbed by 6% to 38,300 t with metal scrap falling by 20% to 5,100 t, packaged cargo growing by 11% to 32,900 t and other general cargo showing an increase.
In 2016, the port of Vyborg handled 1.38 mln t of cargo (-11%, year-on-year).
