Dredging fleet of Rosmorport’s North-Western Basin Branch numbering four vessels has been busy with repair dredging at the water areas of the Ust-Luga port and Big Port St. Petersburg from June 2017.
According to Rosmorport, TSHD Kronshlot is working at the Petrovsky fairway of the Big Port St. Petersburg. More than 29,000 cbm of bottom material has been excavated and transported to the underwater dump area. With the dredging of additional 5,000 cbm of material which is to be completed this October the bottom level will be -11 m.
TSHD Sommers is deployed at the Northern access canal to Ust-Luga seaport with non-self-propelled backhoe dredger Vaka Nami Go and hopper barge Fort operating at the mouth of the Luga river. More than 65,000 cbm of material has been excavated and transported to the underwater dump area so far. Additional 20,000 cbm of material will be excavated by the end of October with the bottom level to reach the mark of -17.5 m and the turning area of the access canal to be expanded to 46 m.
