The scheduled Command Post Exercise is supervised by the Baltic Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Alexander Nosatov, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
Around 1,000 troops, 20 warships, boats and support vessels, and more than 50 pieces of military equipment are engaged in the exercise.
The main goal of the exercise is to improve training level of commissioned personnel, cohesion within the headquarters, and to train the issues concerning troops management, planning, and combat missions.
During the exercise the military control bodies and units will train in placing on alert, urgent preparation of vessel to set off, and combat missions.
The Command Post Exercise is carried out within the 2017 Baltic Fleet Combat Training Plan.
