RF Navy's Pacific Fleet received the first module boat (photo)
On August 24, the Livadia Repair and Shipbuilding Plant hosted a solemn ceremony of launching the main multifunctional modular boat project 23370 was held, says press center of RF Defence Ministry. It is planned that after passing through mooring, plant, sea-going and state tests the boat will be included in the strength of the rescue unit of the Pacific Fleet.
The solemn event was attended by representatives of the Pacific Fleet Command, heads of JSC Kampo, LLC Livadia Repair and Shipbuilding Plant, as well as representatives of veteran and public organisations.
Project 23370 boat is the base platform. Depending on the installed equipment, which is placed in special container design modules, it can be used for different purposes as a diving, search-and-rescue, fire or ecological boat, as well as a powerboat or medical vessel.
For the needs of the rescue unit of the Pacific Fleet, this boat is equipped as a diving one and designed for underwater technical works. This is the first boat built by this plant for the Pacific Fleet.
