Warships and auxiliary vessels of RF Navy’s Northern Fleet continued Arctic March

On 8 September 2017, the formation of the Northern Fleet warships, performing a long-range march to the Arctic, left the Yenisei Bay for the Kara Sea, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.

The Severomorsk NF anti-submarine warfare destroyer, the Kondopoga major landing ship with personnel and hardware of the Northern Fleet Arctic brigade formations on board, the Sergei Osipov tanker, the Pamir salvage tugboat and the KIL-164 AHTS vessel will continue the march north-east close to the Northern Sea Route.

The Senezh hydrographic ship is planned to join the formation of warships and auxiliary vessels in the near future. The vessel is currently accomplishing a scheduled hydrographic exploration of the Arctic.
