IMO Secretary-General Kitack Lim visited sailings ship Nadezhda in Vladivostok (photo)

On 17 September 2017, Kitack Lim, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), visited Nadezhda frigate in Vladivostok, says press center of FSUE Rosmorport.

IMO Secretary-General was accompanied by Victor Olersky, Deputy Minister of Transport – Head of the Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot); Vitaly Klyuyev, Director of the Transport Ministry's Department of State Policy for Maritime and River Transport; Yury Kostin, Deputy Head of Rosmorrechflot; Victor Vanyukov, Deputy Director General for Navigation Safety, FSUE Rosmorport; Nina Osipova, Director of the Far East Basin Branch, FSUE Rosmorport; Sergei Ogai, Rector, Maritime State University named after Admiral Nevelskoy; other officials.

Mr Kitack Lim emphasized that the Russian system of training seafarers has always been highly esteemed worldwide. “No doubt, Russia is a sea power with strong traditions established throughout centuries and highly skilled professionals”, he said.
