In January-August 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 935,600 t of cargo (+16%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 21% to 745,900 t including 343,200 t of coal and coke (+13%) and 330,300 t of mineral fertilizers (-4%) with other dry bulk cargo showing an increase (up 3.5 times).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo dropped by 61% to 13,000 t.
Transshipment of general cargo climbed by 12% to 52,500 t with metal scrap growing by 28% to 8,100 t, packaged cargo - by 8% to 44,000 t and other general cargo showing an increase.
In 2016, the port of Vyborg handled 1.38 mln t of cargo (-11%, year-on-year).
