Berge Bulk welcomes Berge Toubkal, the latest addition to its safe and energy-efficient fleet. The 210,000 DWT vessel was delivered on 29 September 2017, the company said in its press release.
She joins her sister vessels – Berge Zugspitze and Berge Grossglockner – as one of the largest bulk carriers in the world. Like many ships in our fleet, she is equipped with an efficient super-long stroke main engine, optimized for low-fuel consumption. Other special features include the installation of exhaust gas boilers for the generators and an upgraded anti-fouling system.
Berge Toubkal is named after Mount Toubkal, a mountain peak located at the Toubkal National Park in southwestern Morocco. At 4,167 meters, it is the highest mountain peak in North Africa.
