In January-September 2017, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 2,066,500 t of cargo (+19.2%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of grain climbed by 16.5% to 959,000 t, coal – by 17.5% to 563,400 t, oil products – by 7.8% to 299,700 t, ferrous metal – 2.1 times to 101,000 t.
Exports grew by 13.5% to 1,361,100 t, imports – 3.7 times to 71,800 t, coastal trade cargo - by 23.1% to 633,600 t.
In the 9-month period, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 575 arrivals and 569 departures versus 485 arrivals and 468 departures in January-September 2016.
