In January-September 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 1.09 mln t of cargo (+15%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 4% to 994,200 t including 431,100 t of coal and coke (+13%) and 373,300 t of mineral fertilizers (-2%) with other dry bulk cargo showing an increase (up 3.5 times).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo dropped by 49% to 17,000 t.
Transshipment of general cargo climbed by 86% to 62,500t with metal scrap growing by 55% to 11,600 t, packaged cargo and other general cargo showing an increase.
In 2016, the port of Vyborg handled 1.38 mln t of cargo (-11%, year-on-year).
