Damen Shipyards Group will act as the General Sponsor of the Congress “Hydraulic Engineering Structures of Water Transport”, slated to be held February 7-8, 2018 in Moscow. The Congress will be organized by the leading maritime industry media group IAA PortNews in partnership with International Dredging Association (IADC).
Infrastructure development is one of the real sources of Russia’s economy growth. Construction of port facilities and new hydraulic engineering structures on the country’s inland waterways constitute an essential part of all infrastructure projects. It is important to take into account the existing international experience to implement these projects effectively.
IAA PortNews in 2018 is expanding its project of annual international forums of dredging companies held in Moscow. We want to look more broadly at the industry, so we have planned to launch yet another event – a Congress dedicated to all aspects of the construction and operation of hydraulic engineering structures of water transport. This event will take place in early February, before the opening of the 2018 season when dredging and hydraulic engineering works start. This is the busiest season for the industry contractors as they are struggling for new orders. And this will add intrigue to the discussions at the forum.
The Congress will include the 5th International Dredging Forum and the Technical Conference "Modern Solutions for Hydraulic Engineering".
The program of the Congress will be devoted to the most modern technologies for dredging and hydrotechnical works. Speakers and delegates will discuss on the example of real projects the specifics of dredging works, the construction of specialized fleet and equipment.
During the Congress programme some speakers from other regions will be able to deliver their televised speeches.
