Throughput of Big Port St. Petersburg up 10% to 44.01 mln t in 10M’17

In January-October 2017, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 44.01 mln t of cargo (+10%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products grew by 13% to 6.0 mln t, dry bulk cargo – climbed by 17% to 7.27 mln t, general cargo – up 3% to 10.29 mln t, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 72% to 1.0 mln t.

The port’s container throughput increased by 9.6% to 1.58 mln TEUs.

In 2016, the port handled 48.62 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.74 mln TEUs.
