Okskaya Sudoverf to build eight dry cargo ships for Navis-1 LLC with STLC as a customer
On 30 November 2017, Okskaya Sudoverf (part of UCL Holding) signed a contract for building a series of eight dry cargo ships of Project RSD32M. According to the shipyard, the vessels will be built for Navis-1 LLC (Moscow) with STLC as a customer.
The ships are to be delivered in the second half of 2019.
Dry cargo carrier of Project RSD32M designed by Marine Engineering Bureau is intended for transportation of general and dry bulk cargo (including grain), bundled sawn timber, round timber, metal scrap, bundled and coiled metal, heavy and oversized cargo, coal, hazardous cargo of class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8, 9 and category “B”.
The ships can be operated in sea areas and inland water ways of Russia’s European part including Volga-Baltic Waterway and Volga-Don Canal.
Class notation: КМ Ice1 R2 AUT1-ICS.
