New offshore transshipment facility (FSO unit) will appear at the port of Murmansk before the end of 2017. FSO “LK Volga” with annual capacity of 12 mln t will be used for transshipment of oil produced by LUKOIL, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Aleksei Tyukavin, Vice Governor of the Murmansk Region, as saying at the VII International Forum “Arctic: Today and the Future”.
As IAA PortNews was informed by a source familiar with the project, the 300,000 DWT storage tanker will be placed north of FSO “Nord”.
7 mln t of Varandei oil is to be transshipped via the facility in 2018.
