In January-November 2017, the port of Kaliningrad handled 12,538,600 t of cargo, up 18%, year-on-year, says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew 2.2 times to 2,843,000 t including 828,500 t of coal (+54%). Transshipment of mineral fertilizers fell by 85% to 2,800 t with other cargoes showing an increase (up 2.7 times).
Transshipment of dry loose cargo dropped by 11% - до 3,350,800 t, general cargo – down 11% to 1,173,300 t.
The port’s container throughput grew by 30.1% to 223,230TEUs.
Transshipment of cargoes carried by ferries totaled 1,330,000 t (+19%), liquid bulk cargo – 2,787,500 t (+25%) including 1,566,200 t of oil products (+52%), 612,700 t of crude oil (-9%) and 556,100 t of food cargo (+15%).
In 2016, the port of Kaliningrad handled 11.70 mln t (-8%).
