Baltic LNG to be put into operation in 2022-2023 – Aleksey Miller

Gazprom has confirmed its intension to build an LNG plant in the Leningrad Region. According to the press center of the Leningrad Region Government, that was announced by Gazprom CEO Aleksey Miller at the meeting with Aleksandr Drozdenko, Leningrad Region Governor.

Aleksey Miller emphasized that preparations for the project implementation proceeded according to schedule. He also confirmed that Gazprom would carry out its obligations under investment agreement with the Leningrad Region.

Design capacity of the LNG plant is 10 mln t per year. LNG will be exported to the countries of the Atlantic region, Middle East and South Asia. Investments into the project are estimated at RUB 660 bln. Baltic LNG is to be put into operation in 2022-2023.

On 14 December 2017, joint delegation of Gazprom and Shell visited Commercial Sea Port of Ust-Luga, JSC to discuss cooperation under Baltic LNG project, says press center of CSPU.
