Port of Yeisk handled 4.64 mln t of cargo in 2017, up 7.5% Y-o-Y

In January-December 2017, seaport of Yeisk handled 4,642,700 t of cargo (+7.5%, year-on-year), IAA PortNews correspondent cites Sergey Grechkin, Harbour Master of the port of Yeisk, as saying at the meeting of the Basin Committee in Rostov-on-Don.

According to the Harbour Master, its office registered 1,200 calls of cargo ships in 2017 (+6.7% year-on-year).

The port’s throughput in December 2017 totaled 456,400 t (+12.6% year-on-year). Sergey Grechkin said the stevedores were going to handle 457,000 t.

It should be added that seaports of the Azov Sea demonstrated throughput growth due to favorable weather and ice conditions in the region.

The sea port of Yeisk located in the Krasnodar Territory in the southwestern part of Taganrog Bay of the Azov Sea.
