Korea Line CEO appointed as vice president of Korea Ship Owners Association

Korea Line Corporation CEO Yong Wan Kim has been appointed as vice president of Korea Ship Owners Association on January 11th at its regular general meeting held in Yeongdeungpo District, Seoul, the company said in its press release. As a result, the number of the presidents has increased to 9 from 7, and the directors to 15 from 14 in its board of directors. Various proposals have been discussed in this meeting including mandatory government maritime policy, subsidy for retired ship, and establishment of Korea Ocean Business Corporation to reconstruct the maritime industry upon starting the new year.
