In January-December 2017, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 3,067,100 t of cargo (+29.8%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of grain climbed by 31.8% to 1,516,800 t, coal – by 24.3% to 786,600 t, oil products – by 14.4% to 425,400 t, ferrous metal – by 46.3% to 120,000 t.
Exports grew by 18.5% to 1,957,900 t, imports – 3.3 times to 108,800 t, coastal trade cargo – by 47.6% to 1.4 mln t.
In the 12-month period, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 842 arrivals and 837 departures versus 644 arrivals and 634 departures in January-December 2016.
