In January-December 2017, state stevedoring companies of Ukraine handled 34.73 mln t of cargo, which is 9.6% less as compared with the result of 2016, says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA).
Specific share of state stevedores in total throughput of Ukraine’s seaports totaled 26.2% vs 29.1% in 2016.
Transshipment of export cargo fell by 7.3% to 24.64 mln t, transit cargo – by 19% to 2.727 mln t, domestic cargo turnover down four times to 984,370 t. Import cargo transshipment grew by 41.6% to 6.377 mln t.
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo grew by 14.4% to 251,720 t, transshipment of loose cargo fell by 12% to 25.94 mln t, transshipment of packaged cargo declined by 2% to 8.53 mln t.
Container throughput fell to 90 TEUs vs 18,475 TEUs in 2016.
The largest stevedoring companies of Ukraine include Commercial Sea Port “Yuzhny”(CSP Yuzhny), CSP Chernomorsk, Stevedoring Company Olvia, CSP Mariupol, CSP Izmail, CSP Kherson, CSP Berdyansk.
In 2017, total throughput of seaports in Ukraine grew by 0.6% to 132.57 mln t.
