In January-December 2017, port Kavkaz handled 44.93 mln t of cargo (+40%, year-on-year), Sergey Naumov, Acting Harbour Master of port Kavkaz, told IAA PortNews.
Off-harbour transshipment complex handled 14,721 mln t of cargo (30%, year-on-year).
Transshipment of grain grew 2.7 times to 14.4 mln t, sulphur – by 6% to 3.425 mln t; oil products – down 5% to 12.671 mln t, LPG – down 26% to 125,000 t.
Exports from port Kavkaz grew 2.4 times to 921,000 t, imports – by 49% to 137,000 t, short-sea traffic – by 46% to 28.176 mln t.
Passenger turnover declined by 2% to 5,791,870 passengers.
Bunker sales at the port dropped by 27% to 337,000 t.
The number of calls climbed by 9% to 29,700 calls.
