LSC Shipmanagement increases its fleet with bitumen tanker

At the beginning of this year, the subsidiary of JSC Latvian Shipping Company, Ltd. LSC Shipmanagement (LSCSM) increased its technically managed fleet with newbuildingtanker “Asphalt Synergy,” the first bitumen tanker in the LSCSM fleet and one of the largest asphalt transporting ships in the world. She has a total length of 175 meters, width of 30 meters, and load capacity of 37,000 tonnes, the company said in its press release.

“It is a real pleasure to witness the continued development of LSCSM with the addition of this new vessel to be technicaly managed by the company. This is the 26th Ship in our fleet under managment. As a result, we have expanded our range of services. We are now able to transport asphalt products and as such, are attracting more and more new customers and partners. I highly value and thank our ship crews and management team, which continue to prove their professionalism and loyalty,” remarked Robert Kirkup, Chairman of the Board JSC Latvian Shipping Company, on the addition to the fleet.

Tanker Asphalt Synergy was built by Avic Dingheng Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. at their Shipyard in China. The vessels delivery ceremony took place on January 9th 2018. The previous addition to the LSCSM fleet took place last June 2017, when tanker Elandra Falcon was received as part of the technical management fleet.
