In January-December 2017, the port of Kaliningrad handled 13,844.400 t of cargo, up 18%, year-on-year, says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew 2.1 times to 3,044,600 t including 927,800 to f coal (+60%), Transshipment of mineral fertilizers plunged by 85% to 2,800 t with other cargoes showing an increase (up 2.4 times).
Transshipment of dry loose cargo dropped by 9% to 3,773,000 t, dry cargo – down 8% to 1,298,600 t.
The port’s container throughput grew by 26.4% to 239,198 TEUs..
Transshipment of cargoes carried by ferries totaled 1,482,600 t (+19%), liquid bulk cargo – 3,107,700 t (+28%) including 1,759,000 t of oil products (+60%), 666,900 t of crude oil (-10%) and 626,500 t of food cargo (+15%).
