RS approves technical specifications for construction of Poltava museum ship (photo)

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) has approved technical specifications for construction of the Poltava museum ship that will be used as a regulatory document throughout the entire life cycle of the ship, says RS press center.

On 30 January 2018, Konstantin Palnikov, RS Director General handed over the approved document to Andrey Groshikov, Director General of the Poltava shipyard.

The specifications have been developed by Marine Mechanical Projects LLC under the order of historical shipbuilding yard Poltava which is building the ship.

The first open sea battleship of the Baltic Sea will become a center of modern museum complex dedicated to the maritime system of Saint-Petersburg and Russia.

RS has been taking part in the project since 2014. The historical shipyard was certified by RS for construction of wooden vessels and engineering design.
