Troitsa Bay Seaport handled 200,000 t of cargo in 2017, up 70% Y-o-Y

Troitsa Bay Seaport (MPBT LLC, Primorsky Territory) says it handled 200,000 t in 2017, up 70% year-on-year. According to the company, it registered 240 calls and unloaded 2,700 railcars.

MPBT handles metal, containers, sawn timber and fish. In 2017 the range of cargoes was expanded with pipes, veneer sheets and tank containers with liquefied gas.
 
Aluminum accounted for the bulk of handling, up 2-fold, year-on-year to 123,000. Transshipment of sawn timber grew to 18,000 t.
 
Transshipment of fish totaled 36,000 t with live crab handling surging more than 4-fold to 2,500 t.
 
In 2017, MPBT invested about RUB 160 mln in the development of port infrastructure.
 
According to Vyacheslav Baturin, MPBT Director General, implementation of the programme on repair and modernization of port infrastructure will continue in 2018. The programme is estimated at more than RUB 180 mln.
 
Troitsa Bay Seaport (MPBT LLC) is a state-of-the-art port with annual capacity of 1.2 mln t.
