In January-February 2018, the port of Vyborg handled 197,800 tonnes of cargo (+19%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 42% to 27% to 182,600 tonnes including 111,200 tonnes of coal and coke (considerable growth) and 71,300 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (-13%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo including chemicals fell by 9% to 4,600 tonnes.
Transshipment of general cargo dropped by 25% to 7,700 tonnes including 7,700 tonnes of packaged cargo (-5%).
In 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 1.54 million tonnes of cargo (+12%, year-on-year).
