RF Transport Ministry set to enhance level of NSR technological infrastructure up to 40.5%
The Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation has drafted a Decree of RF Government that will let approve the Rules for providing federal budget’s subsidies to the Federal State Unitary Hydrographic Department for navigational and hydrographic support of shipping on the lanes of the Northern Sea Route. According to the federal portal for legal information the draft document is aimed at enforcement of navigational and hydrographic support in the water area of the Northern Sea Route.
In the result, the NSR technological infrastructure level is expected to be enhanced up to 40.5%.
The improved technological infrastructure of the Northern Sea Route will ensure higher level of navigation safety in NSR waters and contribute to efficiency of NSR functioning.
The Decree is expected to come into effect in April 2018.
