In January-March 2018, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 808,200 tonnes of cargo (+37.7%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of grain surged 2.2 times to 360,100 tonnes, oil product – grew by 24.1% to 221,800 tonnes, coal – grew by 1% to 146,400 tonnes. Transshipment of ferrous metal fell by 41.8% to 31,000 tonnes.
Exports grew by 30.3% to 497,400 tonnes, transshipment of coastal trade cargo – by 60.5% to 290,100 tonnes. Imports dropped by 16.2% to 20,700 tonnes.
In QI’2018, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 208 arrivals and 198 departures versus 167 arrivals and 161 departures in January-March 2017.
