In January-March 2018, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 13.83 mln t of cargo (+10%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of liquid bulk cargo grew by 11% to 1.95 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – declined by 2% to 1.95 million tonnes, general cargo – up 15% to 3.39 million tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 55% to 310,800 t.
The port’s container throughput increased by 8.2% to 503,815 TEUs.
In 2017, the port handled 53.64 million tonnes of cargo, its container throughput was 1.92 mln TEUs.
