In January-March 2018, the port of Vyborg handled 281,000 tonnes of cargo (+12%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 14% to 253,100 tonnes including 135,700 tonnes of coal and coke (considerable growth) and 103,000 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (-17%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo including chemicals grew by 36% to 6,800 tonnes.
Transshipment of general cargo grew by 7% to 15,400 tonnes including 3,600 tonnes of metal scrap (+95%).
In 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 1.54 million tonnes of cargo (+12%, year-on-year).
