In January-April 2018, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 1,146,200 tonnes of cargo (+39.8%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of grain surged by 84.1% to 547,000 tonnes, oil products – up 42.3% to 278,400 tonnes, coal – up 8% to 203,300 tonnes, ferrous metal – down 44% to 41,600 tonnes.
Exports grew by 16.1% to 643,900 tonnes, short-sea traffic – 2-fold to 468,000 tonnes. Omports declined by 1.1% to 34,400 tonnes.
In the 4-month period of 2018, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 306 arrivals and 286 departures versus 237 arrivals and 225 departures in January-April 2017.
