Royal IHC secures order for offloading system
Royal IHC has signed a contract with one of the world’s largest independent offshore crude oil and natural gas exploration and production companies, CNOOC Limited, the company said in its press release.
The deal will see IHC deliver the engineering, procurement and construction of a comprehensive offloading system. This will consist of crude oil and LPG offloading reels, in addition to a tandem mooring system, a hydraulic power unit and equipment controls.
The offloading system will be delivered to China in early 2019, where it will be installed on HYSY119, a new floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel. Once operational, the vessel will be deployed to the Liuhua 16-2 oilfield in the South China Sea.
“We are delighted that CNOOC has placed its trust in IHC by awarding us this important order,” says Director Mission Equipment Joti Hakkert. “As the leading tier 1 oil and gas company in China, we are looking forward to further opportunities to expand our delivery of reliable and high-tech equipment to CNOOC, as we build what we hope will be an enduring partnership.”
