GTT has received an order notification from Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) to equip a new Liquefied Natural Gas Carrier (LNGC) with its Mark III Flex membrane containment system. Offering a capacity of 180,000 m3, this unit will be built in South Korea on behalf of ship-owner Gaslog. Its delivery is scheduled for Q3 2020, the company said in its press release.
Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT, declared: “We are very pleased with this order, which celebrates the quality of our relationship with these major players of the shipping industry.” He added: “The choice, once again, of our Mark III Flex technology shows that this system perfectly matches the current needs of the market.”
