  Okskaya Sudoverf lays down second dry cargo carrier of Project RSD32M

  

  On 26 June 2018, Okskaya Sudoverf (a company of UCL Holding) laid down the second multi-purpose 6,220 DWT dry cargo carrier of Project RSD32M in a series of eight ships ordered by PAO State Transport Leasing Company, says the shipyard.
  
  RSD32M ships designed by Marine Engineering Bureau are intended for transportation of general and dry bulk cargo (including grain), bundled sawn timber, round timber, metal scrap, bundled and coiled metal, heavy and oversized cargo, coal, hazardous cargo of class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8, 9 and category “B” on inland water ways of the Russian Federation in the Azov, Caspian, Black, Mediterranean, Baltic, White and North Seas including sailings around Europe and in the Irish Sea during winter season.

  The shipbuilding contract was signed on 30 November 2017.
  
  AO Okskaya Sudoverf is a modern shipbuilding enterprise, a part of VBTH division of the international transportation group UCL Holding. Okskaya Sudoverf specializes in the construction of oil tankers, medium-tonnage dry cargo vessels of mixed 'river-sea' class, containerships, special crafts and barges. In 2015, Okskaya Sudoverf became the second largest shipyard in Russia in terms of the total newbuilds’ tonnage.
