In January-June 2018, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 1,475,000 tonnes of cargo (+23%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of grain surged by 67% to 646,900 tonnes, oil products – up 57% to 374,300 tonnes, coal – down 19% to 311,600 tonnes, ferrous metal – down 49% to 44,800 tonnes.
Exports were flat, year-on-year, at 882,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic – up 2.1 times to 544,000 tonnes, imports – down 9% times to 49,000 tonnes.
In the 6-month period of 2018, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 393 arrivals and 380 departures including port fleet vessels versus 346 arrivals and 333 departures in January-June 2017.
