In January-May 2018, the port of Vyborg handled 781,200 tonnes of cargo (+28%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 33% to 718,700 tonnes including 443,500 tonnes of coal and coke (up 2.4 times) and 254,400 tonnes platform mineral fertilizers (+9%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo including chemicals grew by 63% to 14,700 tonnes.
Transshipment of general cargo fell by 11% to 34,300 tonnes including 6,200 tonnes of metal scrap (+22%).
In 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 1.54 million tonnes of cargo (+12%, year-on-year).
