In January-July 2018, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 1,764,000 tonnes of cargo (+23%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of grain surged by 53% to 797,600 tonnes, oil products – by 63% to 424,200 tonnes while coal transshipment fell by 14%, до 382,600 tonnes, ferrous metal – by 47% to 50,400 tonnes.
Exports climbed by 3%, year-on-year, to 1,059 million tonnes, short-sea traffic surged by 90% to 649,000 tonnes while imports dropped by 12% to 56,000 tonnes.
In the 7-month period of 2018, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 459 arrivals and 443 departures including port fleet vessels versus 416 arrivals and 404 departures in January-July 2017.
