Year-to-date, AO Sea Port of St. Petersburg (SP SPb, part of UCL Holding) has spent in excess of 15.8 million rubles ($ 233,366) on occupational health and safety measures.
More than a half of the OH&S budget (RUB 9 million) was earmarked for compensation of performance by employees in January-July of certain types of work and hazardous duty pay in accordance with the requirements of the Russian Federation labor legislation and the CBA of AO Sea Port of St. Petersburg. The compensation wages include extra pay, additional vocation and milk food pay.
The stevedoring company spent nearly RUB 3.8 million rubles on upgrade of employees’ personal protective gear, on the purchase of overalls and shoes, RUB 2.5 million on employee’s health care, including medical examinations.
To improve employees workplace safety culture SP SPb conducted the occupation safety rules training of its personnel and ensured industrial inspection.
