Cargo traffic at the Port of St. Petersburg between January and July 2018 increased by 13% on H1 2017 figures and totaled 34.39 million tonnes, the Port Authority statistics showed.
Handling of liquid bulk cargo increased by 24% to 5.15 million tonnes, dry bulk volume was up 1% to 4.89 million tonnes, handling of general, break bulk rose 12% to 8.00 million tonnes, Ro-Ro cargo volume leaped by 26% to 836,200 tonnes.
Container traffic was up 12.8% to 1.25 million TEUs.
In 2017, cargo throughput at the Port of St. Petersburg reached 53.64 million tonnes, container volume to 1.92 million TEUs.
