In January-August 2018, The Port of St. Petersburg handled 39.39 million tonnes of cargo (+12%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products grew by 24% to 6.03 million tonnes, dry bulk cargo – dclined by 1% to 5.58 million tonnes, general cargo – up 8% to 9.08 million tonnes, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 21% to 949,900 tonnes.
The port’s container throughput increased by 12.3% to 1.43 million TEUs.
In 2017, the port handled 53.64 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.92 mln TEUs.
