Stevedoring unions announce a strike in the ports of Leixoes and Lisbon

Samskip has received notice that the stevedoring unions have announced a strike advise, the company said in its press release. The strike period had started from 08h00 of the 10th of September and will be until 08h00 of the 8th of October. The strike is only in force for the extra time periods except for the first 24hours (08h00 of the 20th of September to 08h00 of the 21st of September) which will be a total stop of operations.
 
This strike will affect the normal activities in the ports of Leixoes and Lisbon, mainly vessel's arrivals and departures. Consequently, Samskip implements a strike surcharge.

Quay-Quay: The strike surcharge will be applied to all units sailing to/from Lisbon & Leixoes and will be effective as from the first following call until further notice. The strike surcharge is: € 45 per TEU laden/empty.
 
Door-Door: The strike surcharge will be applied to all units sailing to/from Lisbon & Leixoes and will be effective as from the first following call until further notice. The strike surcharge is: € 90 per unit laden/empty.
