RB-2186 tugboat of Project 16609 built by Pella Shipyard delivered to the customer in the Far East
RB-2186 tugboat of Project 16609 built by Leningrad Region based Pella Shipyard delivered to the state Customer in the Far East, says the shipyard.
The harbor tug was designed to perform towing and berthing operations in the harbor, at offshore anchorage and within R2 littoral areas R2 (up to 100 miles offshore), for refloating of stranded vessels, extinguishing fire on ships and on onshore facilities. The tug can sail in one-year 0.6-0.8-m-thick ice.
General characteristics: LOA - 28.5 m, breadth overall - 9.5 m, draft overall – 4.48 m, max. speed – about 12 knots. RS class notaion KM Arc4 R2 АUT1 Tug.
Deck equipment: bow mooring / towing / AH winch (Fluidmecanica), bollard pull 100 kN and MBL of 1383 kN; Towing hook GMH-75 of bollard pull 481 kN with a quick-response device. The tug is also equipped with a hydraulic articulated crane HM 6/3 S, Fluidmecanica, of lifting capacity of 910 kg with the boom radius of 6.09 meters.
The tug with FF capabilities has the fire extinguishing system manufactured by FFS (capacity 800 m3 / h, 2 water monitor, water curtain nozzle system).
Leningrad region, Russia based Pella Shipyard was founded in 1950. In 1992 Pella was privatized as Pella Holding Co. comprising the parent company and several subsidiaries. The shipbuilding firm specializes in building harbor tugs with rated power of 1,000-5,000hp, pusher tugs, escort tugs, pilot boats and rescue boats for Russian and foreign customers. Pella Shipyard can simultaneously build at least 8 sea-going ships per year with length ranging between 50 meters and 100 meters and 6-meter draft, including Arctic class ships.
