In January-September 2018, the port of Vyborg handled 1,338,800 tonnes of cargo (+22%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 26% to 1,250,500 tonnes including 815,700 tonnes of coal and coke (+87%) and 407,700 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (+11%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo including chemicals grew by 14% to 14,700 tonnes.
Transshipment of general cargo fell by 4% to 60,000 tonnes including 12,200 tonnes of metal scrap (+5%).
In 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 1.54 million tonnes of cargo (+12%, year-on-year).
