Petrozavodsk, Karelia based Onezhsky Shipbuilding, Ship Repair Yard (Onego Shipyard) yesterday laid keel for Ice 30 class buoy tender of Project 3265. The vessel was ordered by FGI RECHVODPUT for the Volga-Baltic Basin Inland Waterways Authority, the shipbuilding firm said.
The vessel design was developed by naval architecture and marine engineering firm Engineering Shipbuilding Centre.
The 3265 series buoy tender was designed to support the navigation on inland waterways and port basins, for trawling, maintenance of aids to navigation and vehicle, passenger and goods transport.

Onezhsky Shipbuilding, Ship Repair Yard (ONEGO SHIPYARD) was founded in 2002 on the basis of ship repair facilities of the Belomorsky-Onezhsky Shipping Company, formed in 1944. In 2011, after the enterprise management dismissal the shipyard production was suspended and was followed by the firm’s bankruptcy procedure. In late 2014 the enterprise was transferred to the state ownership with FSUE Rosmorport as the yard Founder and resumed its shipbuilding and ship repair business.
