In January-October 2018, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 2.568 million tonnes of cargo (+6%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of grain grew by 8% to 1.265 million tonnes, oil products – by 66% to 547,000 tonnes while coal transshipment fell by 17% to 521,000 tonnes, ferrous metal – by 25% to 80,000 toones.
Exports declined by 2% to 1.508 million tonnes, imports – by 8% to 80,000 tonnes while short-sea traffic grew by 25% to 980,000 tonnes.
In the 10-months period of 2018, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 667 arrivals and 647 departures including port fleet vessels versus 664 arrivals and 645 departures in January-October 2017.
