In January-October 2018, the port of Vyborg handled 1,530,800 tonnes of cargo (+23%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 27% to 1,436,600 tonnes including 958,600 tonnes of coal and coke (+80%) and 444,800 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (+11%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo including chemicals fell by 14% to 14,700 tonnes.
Transshipment of general cargo declined by 1% to 65,900 tonnes including 12,200 tonnes of metal scrap (+5%).
In 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 1.54 million tonnes of cargo (+12%, year-on-year).
