ICTSI wins fifth straight The Asset ESG tilt
Port operator International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI) has once again been honored as among the elite Asian companies that has shown all-round excellence in environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) by Hong Kong-based financial magazine The Asset, winning the highest Platinum ESG citation for the fifth consecutive year.
ICTSI was also lauded as the Best Initiative in Innovation for the Automated Entry Gates at its flagship, the Manila International Container Terminal (MICT); and Highly-Commended Initiative in Social Responsibility for the Water System for Aeta Community project by the Company’s social responsibility arm, the ICTSI Foundation.
Reflecting the Company’s robust operations and management acumen, ICTSI was adjudged with high marks in financial performance with a score of 5.3, and 74 in Corporate Governance, 89 in Social Responsibility, 77 in Environmental Responsibility, and 80 in Investor Relations.
Asia’s longest-running and premier awards on ESG, The Asset Corporate Awards 2018 survey rewards companies which demonstrated a high level of ESG principles across its operations — typically recording stronger financial performance and beating their benchmark.
The Asset Best Innovation award celebrates not only novel ideas, methods or device, but also the process of finding better ways of doing things and adapting old models to suit new environments.
Commendation was also given for the ICTSI Foundation’s outreach to Aeta communities in Tarlac, providing communities with fresh tap water.
The Asset Corporate Awards 2018 will be hosted at the Four Seasons Hotel, Hong Kong on 10 December 2018.
